Tokyo Road is added to the main set! It’s the first performance of the song on this tour.
Stick To Your Guns replaces I’ll Be There For You on the “ballad platform”. Jon messed up the lyrics big time and the song was not to appear again at a concert until 2008 where the fans in Amsterdam kind of “forced” the band into trying it again.
A language barrier was noticeable all night and on top of that, Jon seemed to be a bit moody as well. When the crowd didn’t really respond to the acapella intro in Livin’ On A Prayer, he said: “I walked myself up the stairwell, I looked at the front door, ah there’s the door – knock, knock, knock, motherfuckers, ain’t there anybody at home?”
After that rather snarky comment, Ride Cowboy Ride and Wanted Dead Or Alive are dropped from the encore. It’s the first documented time since its introduction that the Slippery classic isn’t played.
