Notes:
-
The opening night at the NMS stadium! After Bruce had played the last concert at the old Giants Stadium, it was Bon Jovi’s honor to open the new venue with
three consecutive shows.
-
Raise Your Hands made its tour premiere!
-
Runaway was moved up the setlist and midway through the song the PA blew out! While the sound was gone the band kept playing on since their In-Ear-Monitors were
still working and they didn’t even notice the problem. The crowd partied along until over a minute later the issue was fixed and the sound came back on.
-
Roadhouse Blues is played again in Bad Medicine.
-
Hallelujah replaces Make A Memory.
-
Saturday Night returns and is done in the acoustic set on the circle.
-
Have A Nice Day is added to the main set.
-
Keep The Faith had a huge amount of pyro fire up around the stadium! This had not been done since the end of the One Wild Night tour and many fans felt that
this was just the way how a main set had to be ended.
-
Dry County is played for the first time this tour and opens the encore! It was only the third time this song was done in the USA since 1995!
-
Jon seemed somewhat nervous during the first part of the show, maybe due to the pressure of opening this precious venue. His voice still didn’t seem back to the
standards he had reached at the end of the arena leg, but the energy and passion of the show was great!
-
One day earlier FC members had been invited to attend the soundcheck, during which the band played Dry County with Jon almost completely altering the lyrics in
the verses due to a recent giant oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Fans kept wondering whether the reworked lyrics would show up at a concert, however, the band sticked to the recorded version
and the alternate lyrics never showed up again.
-
This was the setlist of the soundcheck:
- We Weren’t Born To Follow
- Raise Your Hands
- Have A Nice Day
- Superman Tonight
- Dry County (alternate lyrics)
- Something For The Pain (acoustic)
- Love For Sale
- Someday I’ll Be Saturday Night (acoustic)
