Trivia

• This is the first studio album in 4 years. After the release of New Jersey in 1988 the band toured until February 1990 and was unofficially separated afterwards. Jon and Richie both released solo records before they got back together to write a new band album.
  

• Bruce Fairbairn, who produced Slippery When Wet and New Jersey was meant to produce Keep The Faith as well. But due to him working on Aerosmith's Get A Grip his former assistant Bob Rock produced the album.

• The album was supposed to be named Believe but Reebok had already announced an advertising campaign of the same name. So the band went with Keep The Faith.

• 6 songs were written by Jon alone. The highest amount of songs on any Bon Jovi album.
  

• The working title of the song Keep The Faith was Revenge.

• The working title of Bed of Roses was "The Right To Walk Away"

• In These Arms is one of a very few Bon Jovi songs that was co-written by David Bryan. He and Jon sat together to write a song called "Water Into Wine" but it didn't quite work out. So when Richie joined them he had a song title for a possible solo song "on hold" - "If You Were In These Arms Tonight". The legend says that about an hour later they got the final version done. The rough demo for Water Into Wine can be heard here.
  

• The lines "And these were our words / Our words were our songs / Our songs are our prayers / These prayers keep me strong" in In These Arms come from an ancient Indian prayer that Jon was told while doing his motorcycle trip across the US in 1990/91.

• Other songs from that era were: Sympathy, The Radio Saved My Life Tonight, Fields of Fire, Billie, Drive, All Wound Up, Skin Deep, Starting All Over Again, Love Is Just Another Four Letter Word and Miss 4th of July. Bar All Wound Up and Skin Deep, all songs would either appear as B-sides or on the Box Set at some point. Another track, The Sole Truth, was played once at the band's annual Christmas concert in 1991, but a studio recording of it has never appeared anywhere.

Live

• Woman In Love was never played live.
  

• Blame It On The Love Of Rock & Roll was done only once in Japan.
  

• Little Bit Of Soul was only done for the An Evening With Bon Jovi show and during an acoustic radio promo.

• I Want You was only done once acoustic by Jon probably because a fan requested the song. But he pretty much messed up the lyrics and the song never appeared again.

• Fear was only done a handful of times during the Keep The Faith Tour. Bon Jovi never got the song's same power on stage the way that it has on the album. The song never was performed again after the tour ended.

• If I Was Your Mother was played only twice and never found its way back into the live set.

• Even during the Keep The Faith tour Dry County was a song rarely to be played live. It would appear a couple of times during the Crossroads and These Days tours as well. But afterwards it would take 10 years until the show in Düsseldorf, Germany during the Have A Nice Day Tour in 2006 where it was played again. Afterwards it became a "regular rarity" for the following tours.

• I Believe opened almost every show on the tour. But after the tour finished it was rarely played. During The Crush tour in 2000 the band opened a handful of shows with it again but afterwards it fell back into its status as a rarity.

• In These Arms was layed to rest after the tour although it was a quite successful single. It reappeared as a acoustic version during the These Days tour in 1996.  During the One WiId Night tour in 2001 it reappeared as a setlist staple after Jon was told by his Japanese tour promoter that this song is a fan favourite and it remained in the setlist ever since.

• Keep The Faith, Bed Of Roses and I'll Sleep When I'm Dead were the only songs that remained staples in the setlist.
